Víctor did his PhD at the Universidad Alcalá de Henares, on the role of waterbirds as vectors for seeds dispersal, nutrients and contaminants in Andalucía. He continued with post docs at Estación Biológica de Doñana (EBD) and Instituto de Ciencias del Mar (ICM-CSIC), studying the role of birds and livestock as vectors for antibiotic resistant bacteria with important implications for human health.
