Postdoc: Species distribution modeling of marine mammals and other top pelagic predators
We are currently advertising a 18 month post-doc position (with possible 6 month extension), directed by David M. Kaplan and based at the UMR 212 EME in Sète (http://www.crh-eme.ird.fr/team/dkaplan/index.html). Find here more information about the position and how to apply.
Internships
We are interested in hearing from students with a background in Ecology and/or History who would be interested in developing a short project (2-5 months) on the impact of human exploitation on the abundance and distribution of marine mammals. Projects can focus on particular species (e.g. Mediterranean monk seal), regions (e.g. East Asia), or subjects (e.g. representation of whaling and sealing in prehistorical rock art). Internships can either be part of a formal degree (undergraduate or MSc level) or be independent (e.g. summer projects, césure). If you would like to propose a student project, or for more information, please contact Sophie Monsarrat.
