I work on the impact of global changes on phenotypic plasticity and adaptation of laying date in blue tits. How do new environmental conditions affect plasticity itself? To understand this, I study long-term monitored blue tits populations in the south of France and Corsica, and develop theoretical models.
Previously: master Projet
During my second year of master, I have worked on the impact of the skewness of phenotype distributions on natural selection and on response to this selection. I have used analytical models, simulations and empirical studies in long-term monitored bird species to assess implications of skewness in one aspect of the paradox of stasis: why directional selection is detected on some heritable traits in wild populations without leading to any observation of response to this selection?

Research themes
Throughout different stages of my professional and academic career I have worked on several multi- and interdisciplinary projects with an emphasis on aquatic ecology and biological invasions. My research considers two main topics: the analysis of the bio-ecological responses of aquatic species to environmental heterogeneity and the effects of parasites on the biology and ecology of aquatic mollusks. I am currently a research associate at the Evolutionary Genetics and Ecology team (EEG) at the Centre d’Ecologie Fonctionnelle & Evolutive (CEFE, Montpellier, France) where I am working on evolutionary biology projects in hermaphrodites using the freshwater snail Physa acuta as a model system. This experience would allow me to achieve my aim of expanding my knowledge and skills in this area, which fulfills my main interests and priorities from a scientific point of view.

I am interested in ecology and in evolutionary biology. I am dissecting the factors affecting the processes of speciation and diversification by using theoretical approaches. In particular, my research focuses on neotropical Heliconius and Ithomiini butterflies which are now well recognised as excellent model groups to tackle those questions.
