I am broadly interested in the evolution of breeding systems, sex determination/differentiation and reproduction. I am currently using Next Generation Sequencing technologies and bioinformatic tools to study the attributes of a neo sex determining genomic region in Daphnia magna. I am looking at differentiation, recombination patterns and gene content.
I am also working on differential gene expression in sexual phenotypes.

Research themes
My PhD is supervised by Thomas Lenormand and Yannis Michalakis, and will explore parasite coevolution using brine shrimp (Artemia) as a model system.
