I am a forest ecologist committed to unravel how tree functioning and forest properties can buffer the impacts of climate and biotic stress on forest carbon uptake. My research focuses mainly on (1) how local climate and large-scale atmospheric patterns controll biomass growth, (2) the assessment lagged effects on tree functioning caused by either extreme climate, management or pest outbreaks events, and (3) how tree diversity and forest structural properties can help trees to overcome such impacts.

My current work aims to understand how climate and management influence forest ecosystem services and how they will adapt to the ongoing global change.
