Sujet de Stage - Intership topic

Mon stage, réalisé sous l’encadrement de Rémy BEUGNON et Stephan HATTENSCHWILER, porte sur l’interaction entre la décomposition de la litière, le microclimat et les espèces d’arbres. En effet, la décomposition est influencée par des facteurs biotiques (ex. chute de litière et espèces d’arbres) et abiotiques (ex. microclimat). Ainsi, la question scientifique principale est la distinction des effets de la diversité des arbres sur la décomposition de la litière au travers de modifications de l’abondance de litière et du microclimat. Les échantillons de litière proviennent du site expérimental in situ de la Sainte Baume (83, France).

My internship, carried out under the supervision of Rémy BEUGNON and Stephan HATTENSCHWILER, focuses on the interaction between litter decomposition, microclimate and tree species. Decomposition is influenced by both biotic factors (e.g. litterfall and tree species) and abiotic factors (e.g. microclimate). Thus, the main scientific question is to distinguish the effects of tree diversity on litter decomposition through changes in litter abundance and microclimate. The litter samples come from the Sainte Baume in situ experimental site (83, France).

Intérêts scientifiques - Scientific interests

Je souhaite travailler sur des questions scientifiques théoriques qui portent sur les interactions entre des composantes biotiques et/ou abiotiques des écosystèmes terrestres en prenant à compte plusieurs échelles spatio-temporelles. Je suis principalement intéressée par les communautés de plantes, d’insectes et de champignons et par les écosystèmes terrestres forestiers, méditerranéens, arides et de bryosphères. Je compte poursuivre mon master par une thèse. Exemple de sujets d’études réalisée dans le cadre de mes études :
• Projet FIRE (Formation Innovante pour la REcherche), Master 1 à 2 : Étude de la réponse à l’urbanisation des assemblages spécifique et fonctionnel de fourmis (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) des parcs de Montpellier, de l’échelle régional à locale
• Projet Tutoré, Licence 3 : Interaction des gamétophytes et sporophytes d’une fougère (Polypodium vulgare, Monilophyte) et gamétophytes d’une mousse (Ptychostomum capillare, Bryophyte) de région méditerranéenne

I would like to work on theoretical scientific questions concerning interactions between biotic and/or abiotic components of terrestrial ecosystems, taking into account several spatio-temporal scales. I'm mainly interested in plant, insect and fungal communities and in forest, Mediterranean, arid and bryosphere terrestrial ecosystems. I plan to continue my Master with a thesis. Examples of subjects studied during my degree :
• FIRE project (Innovative Formation for REsearch), Master 1 to 2 : Study of the response to urbanization of the specific and functional assemblages of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) in Montpellier parks, from regional to local scale
• Licence 3, 2 semesters : Interaction between gametophytes and sporophytes of a fern (Polypodium vulgare, Monilophyte) and gametophytes of a moss (Ptychostomum capillare, Bryophyte) from the Mediterranean region
