PhD student on the influence of environmental factors on sleep expression

I work to understand the role of environmental factors on the sleep phenotypes of wild population of black rats. I work with electrophysiological data (EEG, EMG, ECG) and acceleration to characterise intra and inter individual variability in sleep phenotypes. This work will help us understand why sleep is a behaviour observed in all animals despite its important cost on the fitness.
