Thèse de Nicolas Rode le 20 juillet!

01/24 The Master interns we are hosting as of January 2024

We have the pleasure to currently host the following Master interns:

  • Jules Teyssèdre is an M2 IDIL student in Applied Ecology and Evolutionary Science at Montpellier. He is doing his internship under the supervision of Philippe Jarne. The topic is to disentangle the underlying forces behind the dynamics of a freshwater snails metacommunity in Martinique.

  • Louis Rigaud is an M2 student from the University of de Lille. He is doing an internship with Mathieu Joron on Parnassius apollo color pattern.
  • Salome Xheneumont is doing a four-months internship in a gap year from Montpellier SupAgro (Master level). She will study the role of biological invasions in biological community building: the case of freshwater communities in the French Antilles, under the supervision of Philippe Jarne and Patrice David.
  • Matéo JARRY is a Master 1 IDIL student in ecological and evolutionary sciences of the University of Montpellier. His internship is supervised by Stéphanie Bedhomme. He is working on the phenomenon of phenotypic plasticity and genetic adaptation of Escherichia Coli in saline environments.
  • Lila Maladesky is a Master 2 MEME Student (Mobility European Master in Evolution) currently doing an internship under the supervision of Thomas Lenormand and Aline Muyle. She is studying sex chromosome evolution in Artemia.
  • Devshuvam Banerji is a Master 2 MEME Student (Mobility European Master in Evolution) currently doing an internship under the supervision of Stéphanie Bedhomme and Luis-Miguel Chevin. He studies the role of mutation provision and mutation rate heterogeneity in adaptation.
  • Filipe Gomes De Almeida is a Master 2 MEME Student (Mobility European Master in Evolution) currently doing an internship under the supervision of Pierre-André Crochet. He is identifying the level of ploidy in the hybridogenic frog, Pelophylax kl. grafi and testing the “pure hybrid population” hypothesis.
  • Jessica Bainbridge is a Master 2 MEME Student (Mobility European Master in Evolution) currently doing an internship under the supervision of Mathieu Joron. She studies genomic and phenotpyic analyses of hybrid speciation in Coenonmpyha butterflies.
  • Suzie Tallon is a Master 2 Darwin Student from the University of Montpellier doing an internship under the supervision of Thomas Lenormand and Aline Muyle. She is studying sex chromosome evolution in Silene.

03/23 An ERC grant was awarded to Thomas Lenormand!

Congratulations to Thomas Lenormand for being awarded an ERC Advanced Grant for his project "RegEvol: The evolution of cis and transregulators in eukaryotes"
