Mes recherches visent principalement à mieux comprendre :

Research interest

My research focuses on the consequences of drought on the functioning, the vulnerability and the functional responses of trees and Mediterranean forest ecosystems. I study the effects of the on-going climate changes on the sustainability and functions of forests and on the survival and mortality of trees. My approach relies simultaneously on functional ecology, plant ecophysiology and ecohydrology. I work mainly with in situ rainfall manipulation experiments in order to modify the water availability in the field, but I am also interested in using long-term observations to understand and forecast how forests may respond to drier climate.

My main resarch interests are:

-          The water and carbon fluxes in forest ecosystems facing water limitations

-          The physiological responses of trees to water stress

-          The mechanisms leading to acclimation or mortality of trees under global-change type drought
