The "Mandrillus Project" results from a collaboration between France, Germany and Gabon. It has been set-up at the village of Bakoumba in Gabon, in February 2012.

The project is aiming at studying a wild population of 80-100 mandrills living in the Lékédi Park (Gabon), with a long-term perspective. We are collecting various types of data (behavior, parasites, hormonal data, genetic data, odors...) to answer several questions in evolutionary biology (see 'research for more details').
